Monthly faculty Lightning Lounge events 

 

The Faculty Lightning Lounge occurs from 4-5pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month during the academic year, September-November and February-April. Four speakers have seven minutes to talk about an interesting aspect of their research, scholarship, creative work, teaching, or outreach. There is time for questions. This event is a collaboration between Academic Affairs, OVPR, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and ADVANCE at UNM. Access replays of past Lightning Lounge events here.

Interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities through the Grand Challenges

 

UNM’s Grand Challenges program is a way for people across campus to unite and work on a common project. This year’s topics include Successful Aging, Sustainable Water Resources and Substance Use Disorders. 

 

As part of the program, faculty can attend occasional interdisciplinary research discussions.
