Music professor uses AI to translate historical orchestra documents

Karin Hendrickson, an assistant professor of music at UNM is using AI to help translate historical documents related to her research for an orchestra concert biography of the Women’s Orchestra of Auschwitz.

She has collected 2,000 documents and first-hand accounts and testimonies from women who were in the orchestra as well as Auschwitz prisoners who remember hearing the orchestra.
