A familiar face to faculty will be interim provost and executive VP for academic affairs

An administrator who has worked extensively with faculty on the tenure and promotion process as well as on faculty-labor relations and academic policies will soon be the university’s interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Barbara Rodriguez, who has been senior vice provost since 2018, starts July 3. She will replace James Holloway, who leaves UNM on July 2 for a new job as president at the University of Toledo.
