Describe your research in about 200 words.

I am a writer, director and producer of stories that span film, theater and digital spaces. My work explores hybrid and hyphenated identities, the development of water in the West, political conflicts, early 90’s punk music, and hobos. With 20+ years of film production experience, I’m excited to embark on my teaching career, collaborating with up and coming filmmakers and storytellers at UNM.

What’s the most interesting thing you have learned from a student?

I have learned the same thing that I try to teach, which is to be open and receptive to feedback and to be willing to adjust and make changes with creativity.
