Dr. Wolfgang Rudolph serves as the department chair of the Physics and Astronomy department at the University of New Mexico. Rudolph also serves as a professor and a regent’s professor for the department. Rudolph received a doctorate degree from the University of of Jena in 1985. Dr. Rudolph’s research interests include ultrafast lasers and spectroscopy; microscopy with femtosecond light pulses for applications in material science and biomedicine; and lasers in the mid infrared for remote sensing and imaging through the atmosphere.
