Describe your research in about 200 words.

Cyber physical systems are described as smart systems that are comprised of engineered networks of physical and computational components that interact with each other. Examples of cyber physical systems include autonomous cars, smart grids, and medical devices. Cyber security attacks on cyber physical systems vary greatly and are growing at a steady and alarming rate. The impact of attacks on these systems is significant because of the mission-critical nature of the impacted applications. Some of my research interests include how to incorporate security needs in the design of cyber physical systems, how to design cyber physical systems that can continue operating in the face of attacks, and how to use humans who are in the attack loop to aid in security attack detection and resolution.
