Your background in academia:

Dr. Kate Krause is a professor of economics at the University of New Mexico and serves as the dean of University College and the Honors College. She earned her B.A. in economics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 1977.  In 1981 she graduated from Stanford Law School and practiced law in St. Louis, Missouri for several years before moving to Madison, Wisconsin to attend the University of Wisconsin. She earned her PhD in Economics in 1996 and joined the faculty at UNM that year. She became interim dean of University College in 2011. When the UNM Honors College was created in 2013, she was appointed dean of Honors and of University College.
