Before You Submit: Shaping Grant Ideas Through Program Officer Engagement

This workshop for faculty will help you have productive, impactful conversations with program officers at federal funding agencies. We’ll cover how to draft a strong one‑page project summary, navigate recent federal agency restructuring to understand which program officers are most reachable, and craft effective outreach emails and conversation plans aligned with current federal funding priorities. A particular focus will be on pursuing unsolicited NSF funding opportunities before the fiscal year ends, maximizing competitiveness and access to additional support available to New Mexico as an EPSCoR state.
