Have work to do or just looking to give your kids a cool summer experience? Albuquerque has camps for everything from sewing to horseback riding to opera and more!

Check out our list of summer camps around the city. Registration for many camps starts early in the year and continues until camps are full.

Camps at UNM

Architecture and Design Summer Academy

UNM Children's Campus camps

The UNM Children’s Campus will host camps for two age groups in four sessions throughout the summer. One is for elementary schoolers (students who will have completed kindergarten through 4th grade) and one is for middle schoolers (students who will have completed 5th through 8th grade).

As of April 18, there are still a few spots in the middle school camps, but the elementary school camps all have a waitlist.

Engineering and Computing Summer Academy

This camp for high schoolers “offers participants hands-on activities & learning experiences in all areas of engineering and computer science. Students meet with engineering & computer science students as well as STEM faculty and industry professionals,” according to the website.

Maxwell Museum of Anthropology Summer Camp

Summer Law Camp

Current 6th and 7th graders can “get a taste of college life and develop complex skills in research, conducting a trial, critical thinking, team building, leadership and techniques of persuasion and debate during this program ending with a mock trial,” according to the website.
