American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant

The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center is requesting applications to their ACS-IRG pilot program.

American Cancer Society – Institutional Research Grant (ACS-IRG)

The American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant supports cancer research by junior faculty in all of UNM’s Schools and Colleges. Early career faculty who have not yet obtained national, peer-reviewed funding for their cancer-related research programs are invited to apply for ACS-IRG grants. Eligibility is not affected by prior internal or regional research awards. Recipients of IRG pilot project grants must be, at the time of the application, United States citizens, noncitizen nationals, or permanent residents of the United States. The next deadline for applications is Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Research Awards

Awards of up to $30,000 for one year are allocated to excellent basic, translational, clinical and population-based research proposals that have the potential to advance our understanding, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cancer and also to advance the career of the recipient.
