Describe your research in about 200 words.

I conduct education research on equity and culture in engineering education, particularly undergraduate level curricular spaces. I research using qualitative, ethnographic, video-based, discourse analysis, and participatory research methods. My scholarship provides methodological guidance to education researchers, especially those thinking about issues of equity in their work.

What’s the most interesting thing you have learned from a student?

I’ve learned a lot about issues of the Indian caste system and discrimination from one of my graduate student researchers.
