Upcoming IRB Workshops and Outreach Activities

OIRB Fall Workshop Series

Submitting to the IRB??  The OIRB fall workshop series has been scheduled for September and October (see attached flyer).  These workshops cover a variety of topics relevant to IRB submission and review including human research protection regulations, an overview of the submission process, writing an IRB protocol and consent form, avoiding common mistakes and navigating the IRBNet submission database. Due to UNM’s limited on campus operations, workshops will be conducted via Zoom. The links to the various workshops will be posted on the relevant day on our calendar.  To ensure a spot, email irbmaincampus@unm.edu and tell us which workshops you would like to attend.

Reminder regarding resumption of In-Person Research

The UNM IRB continues to review requests to begin or resume in person human research activities.  Consistent with the UNM IRB plan issued on 6/11/2020, PIs must obtain approval from the Dept. Chair and Associate Dean for Research (ADR) prior to submitting their request to the IRB.  All requests must include details that address requirements as outlined in the UNM IRB plan. If you have specific questions about these requirements and how they may apply to your project, please contact us as noted above.
