Alfonzo Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies

The Alfonso Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies is currently accepting applications for Project Requests during the 2019-2020 academic year. 

 

The Alfonso Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies promotes equitable partnerships between communities and UNM through collaborative programs in the humanities and public anthropology. Proposed projects should be focused on education, public outreach, exhibition, or research with a public orientation. Graduate students (with a letter of support from a faculty advisor), staff, and faculty in relevant disciplines may apply for funds to assist with collaborative projects. 

 

Best consideration date for applications is December 13, 2019, with notification of funding by January 22, 2020. Potential applicants are encouraged to discuss their project in advance with the Ortiz Center Director, Lea McChesney (lsmcches@unm.edu). More information here.
