How to request ADA accommodations

 

Between 20 and 30 percent of workers in the United States need to ask for workplace accommodations at some point in their career. Accommodations are available for a variety of conditions and come in myriad forms.

 

It can be hard to know where to get started in the process. Learn how to apply for accommodations at the University of New Mexico in the video above with Heather Jaramillo, Director of Equal Opportunity at the Office of Compliance, Ethics and Equal Opportunity at the University of New Mexico. Jaramillo is one of the ADA coordinators for UNM.
