My research interests include: the impact of trauma exposure on youth with or at risk for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, embedding trauma-informed practices and Social Emotional Learning in daily programming and practices, the impact of student/adult relationships on classroom behavior, and integrating trauma-informed practices within evidence-based behavioral and academic interventions.

What’s the most interesting thing you have learned from a student?

During COVID lockdowns, my students taught me creative ways to use technology and social media to make my virtual classes more personal and interactive.
