Describe your research in about 200 words.

I enjoy working on various aspects of quantum computation and quantum information, where the goal is to harness the weird properties of quantum mechanics to enhance computation and information processing tasks. In particular, my current research focuses on designing methods to reduce noise in near-term quantum processors, understanding the limitations of noisy small-size quantum devices, and investigating the computational power of special-purpose quantum processors. I am also interested in designing quantum algorithms for large scale fault-tolerant quantum computers that will become available in the future.
